Poarch Creek Indians Introduce Cutting-Edge Casino Tech

Poarch Creek Indians logoThe Poarch Band of Creek Indians (PCI) is ushering in a new era of gaming innovation at two of Alabama’s most iconic racing venues.

In a strategic move to modernize and personalize the gaming experience, PCI has partnered with Las Vegas-based Acres Manufacturing Company to implement the Foundation HQ casino management system at the Birmingham Race Course and Mobile Greyhound Park.

This marks one of the first major upgrades since PCI acquired the Birmingham Race Course in April, signaling the tribe’s commitment to revitalizing and expanding its domestic casino operations in Alabama.

At the time of acquisition, PCI hinted at future enhancements, and this rollout delivers on that promise.
Personalized Gaming Through Data-Driven Technology

The Foundation HQ system is designed to revolutionize how casinos interact with players. By integrating with PCI’s proprietary PLS 1:1 Loyalty Platform, the technology enables real-time, individualized engagement. Rather than relying on traditional tier-based marketing models, which categorize players into broad groups, this system tailors incentives and messages to each player’s unique gaming behavior.

The Player Loyalty System (PLS) compiles detailed profiles of individual users, tracking their activity to deliver customized rewards and promotions. These offers are delivered through multiple channels, both digital and physical, encouraging continued play and deepening player loyalty.

This advanced system is already in use at PCI’s Magic City Casino in Miami, where it has demonstrated measurable success. According to Acres Manufacturing, the implementation led to an 8% increase in machine revenue during its first year, a notable achievement during a period when many gaming venues experienced stagnant or declining earnings.

Enhancing Historical Horse Racing

The new technology is being deployed alongside Historical Horse Racing (HHR) machines, which allow patrons to wager on previously run horse races. These machines have become increasingly popular for their blend of traditional racing excitement and modern slot-style gameplay.

Players insert a physical loyalty card into the machine, enabling the system to track their activity in real-time. Based on this data, the casino can instantly deliver personalized incentives, ranging from bonus credits to exclusive offers, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

Can You Wager Online In Alabama?

The state of Alabama does not permit tribal casinos to offer their services online; however, alternative options are available. Online Alabama casinos currently operate from trusted gaming jurisdictions located outside of the US. Since the early 2000s, many AL players have accessed and wagered online with offshore sites that offer real money payouts.

Popular online casino games in Alabama include blackjack, slots, roulette, video poker, baccarat, and other popular options. You can even access live dealer games for a more authentic casino experience; however, the buy-ins are a little higher with live dealer games.
